When using Nvidia Inspector on my G752VT I could see that the preferred refresh rate is set to allow game to control rather than max allowable. This may be the case with yours. If your display refresh rate in game settings is set to 75 the game may be doing a bad job of capping the FPS. This happened with me on World of Tanks. FPS hovers around 50FPS and I get bad stuttering. If I enable vSync the FPS stays at 75 FPs and the game is smooth. I can get uncapped FPS by enabling max possible refresh rate in Nvidia Inspector and disabling VSync. Note: The preferred refresh rate setting is not available in Nvidia Control Panel. It may be the same issue you are having.

Roll back to an older driver. Some of these new drivers can be glitchy. They come out so fast that i bet theyre not all properly tested, personally im using an older one and it works fine.

While a great deal of driver updates are great there is the occasional one that leaves a bit to be desired. The Driver on the ASUS page is generally older than dirt itself. They dont bother updating it because its a waste of their time to grab a driver from the same place you get it, pay for redistribution rights, then host it on their site when most will just go to Nvidia to get it. They put one or two up that they know work well and leave it at that. Nvidia however is constantly evolving The fact that this driver has been up for several weeks without a new one to replace it shows its stable and working. Ive been using this one across multiple platforms with no such issues. I would be checking on your configuration. First set it to max performance with the slider, then change to use advanced settings. Most of it will default to just fine others need help. I never leave anything at let the application decide.
A few that will give you a hit and FPS drops. at the bottom of the section.
GSync, for as much as people will cry like buffoons if this is not included its guaranteed to give you a performance hit 100% of the time, no exceptions. Unless you get vertical jittering or tearing leave it turned off.
A pic is easier, here are the settings that work for me. If you set the slider to max performance before selecting advanced tick box just above it the rest can be left as is.
