How old is your laptop? I guess it still is new. My G752VT is already 1 year old, I have never cleaned it, or made a repasting. All stock with bios 214. Just played Dota2 a moment ago, my temps are CPU 80C, GPU 72C. Was it like this when you first got the laptop? Have you updated BIOS? Have you installed new programs prior to high temp?

What are your idle temps? Check Task Manager/Performance/Resource monitor to make sure CPU is idle at about 4% usage and take note of temps. In Dota, I get about 27% CPU usage and cpu temp varying from 80 C, GPU 72C.

My G752VT with BIOS 216 spikes to way over 90 Deg C when playing World of Tanks. But it is only momentary spikes and it doesn't thermally throttle.

Realised yesterday that my power profile was set to maximum keeping the CPU at 100% minimum. Set it to balanced allowing the CPU to go down to 5% minimum and temp now maxes out at 89 deg c.

Take the see-through piece of plastic off of the bottom of the laptop. If it has a grid outline of dust in the shape of the grill above it is probably a good idea to go ahead and give it a good dusting. I did so recently, and while the dust-release technology in the g752 series does a good job of reducing dust buildup, it still happens. Hopefully it will help you out.

im scared to disassemble my laptop because i might remove some pieces and not be able to put them back properly.. should I let others clean?
