I purchuased in march g751jy assasin model and it literaly died during first win instalation. For new model i waited two motnhs
and got it yesterday and what heppened was same thing as with first one, it died again. Now i am waiting third one.
What hepened was simple thing however, first i couldnt boot from usb for some reason in bios and both models died when i switch
first option to boot from dvd. I wonder wil it heppen with third model as well. What i am afraid is that they selling me not new lap tops but repaired ones at price much expensive then new ones in other europe regions. Reading different forum threads on net, last night i noticed that they had problem with bios, basicly you need to empty your battery then flash bios to make it work or make it die
forever. Assus supose to have commercial action like they return your non functional laptop and money if it die during first year of using however it didnt work for me coz both died during first day of usage. This are models i purchuased so far:
1. G751JY T7122 march 25. 2015
2. G751JY T7204 may 22. 2015.
Both models have 16bgy ram, gtx 980m, 256 gby ssdi, i 1 Tby hard, procesor is diferent 1. i7 4710 2. i7 4720
I really wish i could talk with someone from asus in taiwan coz here i dont bealive them a word.
Also i wonder if this heppen in USA, Western Europe or similar regions in world what asus would do? I had to pay extra 100 euros for new model instead it comes at price of first. So far i am waiting third one and ill tell you guys will it die as well or survive!

Sounds like you on a run of really bad luck. What OS are you trying to install? Have you read this thread http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?59224-Install-Guide-for-Windows-8-1-on-G751-freeDOS-(no-win...
You may not understand UEFI, your usb/dvd needs to be booted UEFI. On boot up hit the Esc key and select the UEFI USB/DVD and then complete the windows install. You shouldn't have to change anything in your BIOS. For Windows 8 hard drives should be AHCI system should be UEFI Secure boot enabled CSM disabled. after the install your SSD should be the 1st boot. If you need to boot a DVD or USB you can just hit the Esc key to get that boot menu for one time use.
It is also advisable to remove your data drive before you install windows to your SSD. You want to make sure that your EFI partition gets on your SSD
If you trying to install windows 7 you'll have to look that up most to the windows 8 driver will work but not all there are some that require specific window 7 drivers

first one died during 65% win instalation and second one during switching boot devices inside bios (esc didnt bring usb boot option and it was uefi build drive on memory stick )
Honestly do you think 2100 euros lap top shuld die just coz u messing with bios?
There must be reason for all this crap and i am stil persistent to find it out so i asked for third one.
