G751jy single loud click noise from keyboard?

Whenever I exit GTAV on my g751jy I hear this single CLICK noise coming from the keyboard now (number pad side). I'm thinking it is the internal thermostat clicking off for regulating the fan speed by the load on the CPU/GPU. It's not throttling because I get great performance and never get above 84°c. I am however a little worried as it seems to have gotten louder... Am I correct? Is it a thermostat of some kind? Is this normal?

There is no bimetal Tstat on PCs of any kind. There is only a thermal sensor that provides feedback for fan regulation. its not an on/off thing. PWM is increased to speed up the fans as the temp increases.
Dont know of anything directly under the number pad but not far from it under the palm rest area is the primary HDD bay, don't know what type of drive you are using. Any clicking sound is not normal.

It could be from the HDD bay, other than that, there isn't any part that could do a clicking sound from that area.

Ok well the 1tb HDD in there is totally empty awaiting replacement with an SSD. (Im using the stock 120gb ssd for windows, gtav & music). Thats all that's on the PC so far. Today it started happening when I power on/off now also. If it fails even tho it's empty will it affect my PC? Also, since its empty can I just unplug it and take it out? Any steps I need to do to "uninstall" the HDD? Thank you guys. My laptop is my baby & I'm learning as fast as I can.
