yep, I've had a 2.1 system that I converted to 5.1 by using my benq display FL FR, and then the 2.1 as RL RR and sub.
I'll have to post later, I'm out at the moment.
you'll be needing to use all 3, 3.5mm jacks on the laptop btw, if you're not doing that already, find some guide to show you how to use 3 out
I won't be able to redo and test exact config atm... bigger problems than 5.1 face the g751..
I think I posted something on the sony forum showing the spaghetti

Hello,
Have someone manage to output 5.1 via realtek digital output on creators update?
I have tried multiples realtek drivers but without succes.
Currently i have logitech z906 and i have connected them via toslink cable.
If i test DTS Audio and Dolby digital on supported formats tab the sound check goes throw all the satellites one by one as it should be but there is no ouput to 5.1 only 2 channels.
Waiting for your answer. Hope you can help me.

1. The Installer will first uninstall any existing Realtek drivers and after reboot the installer will continue the installation.
When asked, ALOW THE INSTALLATION of "UNCERTIFIED DRIVER"
2. Once the installation is complete and RESTART msg popup ..chose CANCLE or in other words DONT RESTART YOUR SYSTEM at this point.
3. Open REGEDIT
4 . navigate to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Audio
5. add DWORD (32bit value) , rename to DisableProtectedAudioDG modify and set to 1
6. Restart your system now.
Once back in Windows you should have fully enabled DTS- Interactive , Dolby digital Live Realtek drivers.
Every time you reinstall or install new modified drivers you will have to go through this steps , specially the DWORD entry as after any installation it will be gone from the registry and you wont have DTS-i , DDL enabled.
