G751JY fresh install and driver

Hi,

I just reinstalled windows 10 and I'm struggling installing the drivers.

Here are some questions I can't find an answer:

1) In the Video card session of the download page there are the driver only of the nvidia card...isn't needed to download also the intel video card driver?
2) In the LAN session there are 3/4 different kind of lan driver; do I have to install them all or what?
3) Isn't there a full package that will install all the driver and software for the laptop for a nobrainer experience?

Thanks,
Max

W8.1 drivers should work in W10 , install the latest nvdia driver.

It is NOT recommended to install the following ASUS driver: graphics card(NVIDIA), Intel related driver ( INF, iRST ).
It is NOT recommended to install windows 8.1 driver on Windows 10, if the original manufacturer released a driver version for windows 10.
ONLY Use win 8.1 driver as second choice, only if you can't find one for win 10, then win 8 as 3rd choice.
( special case: for getting USB 3.0 super-speed for example, one can use win 7 driver, as any win 8/8.1/10 does not get the usb to work on super-speed withour hang-ups.... for more info look here )

AFAIK, with G751JY/T, the internal intel GPU is disconnected physically from the screen - thus renders it useless - even if you mod your bios somehow to support it. search this sub-forum, there are many posts about it.

about BT/Wifi - no need for any special driver, unless to get any big lag while gaming ( it's also known that Intel Wifi card in the G751Y/T is buggy, search this sub-forum for more details )
if you insist to update it, goto intel support site and download the latest driver package ( it is recommend to install it WITHOUT the proSET utillity, i.e only the driver )

Thank you for your answer toronto699 but...ok to install the latest drivers but under wireless and bluetooth tere are different model:

Qualcomm Atheros Wireless Lan Driver and Application

Intel WiFi Wireless LAN Driver

Broadcom Wireless Lan Driver and Application

Do I have to install all of them?

No you would install the Driver for the brand that is installed in your notebook, you can find this information by installing Hwinfo64

Also you should read this sticky thread all your present and future questions about Clean/Reinstall are covered in it.

Go to Device Manager , click on Net Work Adaptors click on the > to open , click on properties , this should tell u the manufacturer of the wireless card , that's the driver u want , it should tell u what adaptor u have , then install the named driver, if u try to install the wrong driver for a different device driver will not install , Clintlgm smart cookie
