Do the upper settings help make the screens more pleasant to watch for a longer time to the people that tried them?
I seem to have mine with too strong light or something, on my older laptop I had no issues after 2 hours of watching it but here my eyes are killing me. x.x
I also have a new install of windows 8.1 so no programs or custom settings just the defaults, are the upper settings usable for the G751JT model ?

Raffafari, I haven't used/adjusted the IPS screen on the G751, but on the G750 the AUO screen is way to bright to watch at 100%. I run mine at about 65-70% most of the time. Outdoors is a different environment, and I run at 100% there.
You could try turning down the brightness to 50%, and live with it for a while to acclimate - then move it up 5% at a time until it is bright enough, but not too bright.
The AUO screen was getting these complaints too, until people started turning down the brightness 🙂

Thank you for the reply hmscott, I was thinking it could be something wrong with my settings but your advice sounds right I tend to use it at 90/100% at my desk.

I let my JT as it was from factory, I tried some of the presets and it just looked off. I didn't really try messing around with settings because I had already gotten used to the colors and anything else would just look off lol.
