Befor I start I need to say sorry for my bad english.

2 month ago I bought my G751JT.
Since this day I have many internet isscues. I removed all bloatware and try a complete reinstall of windows.
Nothing changed

The other Problem. My USb mouse disconntes everytime. (I removed the USB saver ****). I try 3-5 diffrent mouses.
A little touch to the cable is enough to disconnect the mous.

I write a E-Mail to Asus but they just send me ****ty drivers wich doesn't work.

My question now:
Should I send my Notebook back to amazon and buy a Alienware 17?

It is the new mouse 🙂 a much better one haha
yes, about 1 hour of surfing the mouse disconnects again.
The new AND the old mouse... same problem but before the windows update it was much more bad.

z3ro, you have done all the Windows 8.1 updates, but have you updated to all the available Windows 8.1 drivers and BIOS?

G751JT BIOS 205 was an update for USB fixes. There is now a 206 BIOS as well. Try updating to 206.

Updating drivers after you get a new laptop is important. Most of the bugs people report are fixed by the latest drivers. For the G751 there is a Realtek driver update to fix audio issues that is most important, version .7432, and there is a newer .7443 out now.

Also, you probably want to uninstall Game First III and Game Center, they really don't do anything and Game First tends to mess up network priorities while gaming. I also uninstall Splendid as it messes with color correction. There was on the G750 an Asus Gaming Mouse driver, if you have that uninstall that too, and install the make/model specific driver/app that the maker provides online.

Here is the list of places I look for updates for my G750JH; the best way to get a stable fully functioning G750/G751 is to update all the drivers / apps to the latest Windows 8.1 release.

The G750JW/JX/JH/JM/JS/JZ download areas haven't had new updates for a while, BIOS updates still happen in your model's support area, so check there from time to time.

The G750/G751/551/500/etc share the same basic hardware components; check support download areas for new hardware for newer drivers.

Asus maintains central support areas for hardware component features common to all products, those areas usually have the latest drivers after new hardware releases, sometimes there is a lag before the newer drivers show up there, so still to new product releases support downloads for the latest drivers.

Asus G751 Support / Download areas - Asus hasn't updated all the versions of these support areas, this link discusses the 3 locations were started independantly and not sync'd/updated through to the latest driver releases - check them all to be sure.

Once you have done this, you and everything is working well, you can check on new driver releases every month or two and keep up to date. Watch for new laptop releases using the same hardware and add support download areas to your list of places to check for driver updates.

OK, all drivers are up to date.

buuuut I STILL have this problem.
And its not just the mouse. I just plugged in my smartphone for loading and the same problem happens with my smartphone again.

Its frustrating 😞

z3ro-88, from your first post you said you contact Asus and they suggested you try (?), and it didn't work. Did you continue the conversation with them to work out what the problem was?

Asus should RMA this for you and fix the problem. Now that you have had the notebook for a few months, you can't return it to the seller, but you are still in the Asus warranty.

How did you contact Asus?

https://vip.asus.com <== create a login, register your laptop, and file a Technical Inquiry.

Make sure your Technical Inquiry text is written before you start, it is a small box to edit in, and you need to include all the relevant into, like this happens on all 4 ports, you have updated the drivers, and have debugged using several devices - you need to list the name/make/model of the device - nameless mouse doesn't really count 🙂

If you can provide screen shots, or short video clip of the disconnects, that would help a lot.

You could even send back the nameless mouse to them with the laptop, since it is a "throwaway" so they would have an actual failing device. Even though it doesn't have any markings, that mouse along with the name/make/model of failing devices should be enough.

You probably need a motherboard replacement. Some element of the support chipset upstream from the USB connectors is failed/failing.

Please come back and let us know how the RMA works out 🙂
