G751JT Memory and Drive upgrade

Hello,

I want to upgrade my laptop G751JT-T7012D with a bit more memory and faster hard drive but also questions about my memory and connectivity.

So lets start with the memory i have 8 GB of memory and i want to add another 8 GB but when i checked my memory with cpu-z
i notice that the speed of the memory is 800mhz and i started to wonder which is better to get an faster memory or to get another 8 GB

so i dont much of a choice and i will get an sata based ssd im thinking about Samsung 850 Evo 250GB also comments and recommendations are very welcome.

Yes, some programs report 800 and some 1600. Why? DDR is Double Data Rate, some programs multiply by two for you - some don't.

You'll see the most benefit going to 2133MHz RAM. However, there isn't a big difference for most games. In the games where your CPU is holding you back you will see the most benefit.

Both Kingston and Crucial sell 2133MHz kits. Remember to remove the old 1600MHz RAM, because if you leave it in the speed will stay at the slowest RAM installed (1600MHz).

As to the difference between standard SATA III SSDs to PCIE SSDs? Only file transfers are really all that much faster. Game load times, windows boot times, they are all within margin of error. The software and games out there don't benefit from the massive queue depth performance that PCIE SSDs can deliver.
