Those settings in the Nvidia control panel were missing prior to downloading the newest driver (right out of the box) and they are still missing after updating it.
I can try again after work though.
So on other people's 751JMs those settings should be there and no one else is really having this darkness issue? It's only noticeable in game or when watching a dark video. Otherwise, the whites are really bright and everything is fine.
I called Asus back and they had me test it on a different game. The only thing that made a slight difference was putting the splendid settings on Normal, but even then it was too dark. The dark colours all blend together to make a big black shady area that you can't really see in. He then said it may be an lcd issue. I might just exchange the laptop and try again since I have owned it for less than three days. Seems like trouble.
