[G751JL] External Microphone Problems

Hello! So I recently got these new pair of headsets and an audio splitter (since my ROG has a dedicated input for mics) and the mic is not working. I tried the headset on different devices and it works fine. However, it's just not working on my laptop. Is it a hardware problem? Is it a software/driver problem?

do you have another mic or headset that you can plug in to G751JL?
or another audio splitter?
And does the built-in mic work?
Than it would be much clearer to see which one is the root cause.
