B) If it is, are those the only three concerns that would be involved.
While I am certainly capable of opening up this laptop and discovering the answers myself without damaging anything.. I've learned it's always best to start with prior

Hey SoCalGSXR, was wondering if you had any headway on this? I was looking into the same thing, just swapping out the bottom cover pretty much for a little more air flow more than anything. I have found some really nice used ones less than $40 that come with the rubber feet and screws. I also have a G751-JL that is severely overheating, to the point that I had to underclock due to throttling and overheating. I did mod the bottom case below the fans to allow more air, but looks terrible and looking for a better solution.
Let me know if you found anything out, as I am currently searching as well. I am actually to the point where I'm just gonna purchase the case lower section and modify it if I have to. Only thing I might see is possible extensions to elevate the board a little if needed, but didn't see much physical differences otherwise.
I believe the lower case I'm looking at is the JY, where it has the red vents instead of black, and they appear to be about half an inch taller, which might allow more air into the case, even though would be warm air, would still be better than no air, lolz.
