So, I've tried looking around a bit, and I haven't been able to find (and maybe that is due to my own incompetence or such) anything relating to this, so here we go:
I like to run my equipment as cold as I possibly can. As an electronics technician/budding electrical engineer, I have seem full well what heat can do to equipment,
and so I universally try after getting equipment to A) See what I can do to get more performance and B) Minimize and eliminate heat.
Well, with my newly purchased of a very lightly used G751JL, I couldn't help but notice that another version of the G751, with the 970m and 980m has a much larger
rear vent for heat removal.
My question is..
A) is it possible to just remove the old bottom and cooler, and slap on the cooler/bottom/fan from the upgraded version (if there is a difference in these parts)
B) If it is, are those the only three concerns that would be involved.
While I am certainly capable of opening up this laptop and discovering the answers myself without damaging anything.. I've learned it's always best to start with prior
experience and knowledge, before doing something different, lol. Thanks for everyones time and consideration!
