The new driver is good and solves the problem we had.
Now it's just a mater of finding the right settings to have the desired sound.
I tried a few settings last night and got the sound to a good level for music / games / movies.
The only problem is that i still hear a buzz coming from the sub-woofer sometimes. A lot less than before, but it still happens sometimes.
So i'm guessing i have to tweak the settings a bit more.
My question is if anyone found the perfect mix of all the settings to have an overall decent audio output no matter the source.
At the moment i have it set to 40% sub-woofer, action mode in audio wizzard and loudness equalizer.
So i would be happy yo try out any suggestions you might have in search of the perfect sound.

Holy s***, gotta try this out as soon as I get home 😄
And make no confusion about the actual driver number, it's 7432. It's right here in the G751JY W8.1 64bit driver page: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=G751JY&p=3&s=719
I guess I already made up my mind on how bad the audio is on this laptop, so I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what improvements can I expect from it as soon as I install it?
And how do I install it? Just run the setup, or uninstall previous driver first?

Audio wizard is disabled for anything other than stereo configurations, is this normal?

Yes NitroX, same here, the 5.1 setting has the subwoofer playing all frequencies. On 2.0 is ok, i see many people happy but unfortunately there is still buzzing(vibration of the case).. and with no one complaining anymore they will leave it like this.
Give us a way to change the cutoff frequency for the sub, or lower it until there is no buzzing, under 160 hz.

With the new driver, sound is more balanced however this comes with the expense of lower volume generally

You should try to make some settings with the equalizers and/or from the control panel where you can set your internal subwoofer level a bit lower than 100%. The multimedia default with MaxxLeveler enabled is quite a good point to start from.
That's not quite true. Using Stereo mode with MaxxLeveler enabled will give you a significant increase in sound volume.
