The latest bios posted on the
G750JZ ASUS download site for the G750JZA is 0207, so a little curious where you saw the 209 bios.

Unfortunately, there are not any Win7 drivers posted on the ASUS G750JZ download site, so doesn't sound like ASUS is providing any official Win7 support for this notebook currently.
Not sure if you want to work on getting more comfortable with Win8.1, but if you install the Win8.1 update, it should boot Windows to the desktop by default.
Also, right click in the bottom left-hand corner to access the menu for many common desktop items.
