Hi !
I just got my new ROG 750JZ with 256G SSD and Windows 8.1
All is working great but I have a really annoying problem : randomly my computer freeze (cannot do anything). While it occurs my disk usage is 100% ... I cannot find any process that is using my disk so much ?
I tried:
- Disable Prefetch, Superfetch
- Disable Windows search
- Disable virtual memory
- CCleanner
- Check for virus, malwares, ...
- Restore computer with restore partition

Cannot find anything working 😞 Do you know what I can do ? Do I have to send my computer back to ASUS ?

Thanks for your help.

Hi !
Thanks for you reply. I already done that but cannot find anything really interesting : Disk usage is 100% but there is nothing revelant into the resource dialog only 3 processes and none are reading / writing while disk usage is 100% !

If the disk usage is 100%, then you can see the throughput in the resource monitor, check the box on one of the "interesting" processes and see what open files there are:

40873

And, in the Performance tab of the Task Manager

40874

Hi !
Sorry but I cannot make such screenshots because when it occurs my computer is freezed I cannot make anything. When the freeze ends there is nothing really interesting into the resource monitor.

By the way I used a program called ProcessMonitor to check all file access and found that many of them where due to google applications (chrome & drive). So I removed Google Chrome and Google Drive ... since then I didn't have any freeze. Hope it solved my problem ?

Thanks for your help.
