Hi all,

Every time I boot up my G750jx after a few seconds my windows is searching for my ROG Mouse.. a "ding ding" sound confirms that the mouse is connected.

Before that sound the USB mouse is working already.. i think windows is checking the usb 3.0 ports.. its quite anoying.. because for a few seconds my mouse is dead..

Is there any way to turn tis off..?

As said, the mouse is already working when i start windows..

Hi,

a workaround for your problem could be turning windows sounds off: Control Panel->Sound->Sounds tab. Take a look! You can turn off all the sounds or just the connect/disconnect device ones.

try connecting your mouse to the ports on the other side. if it is on the right side ports, try connecting it to the left side ports just to see if it makes a difference then reboot to test

You're right! Sorry about that, my english is not that great.

If switching to the ports on the other side doesn't work, I would suggest reinstalling the mouse software and keep using the same port everytime you plug the mouse in. You could even try to remove the mouse from the Device Manager....

I've had a similar issue in the past with my desktop, but for me it was enough to turn off the windows sounds. I still have no ideea what could've been the cause for that.

1. Plug in the ROG Mouse that comes with the laptop.
2. Boot Windows 8.
3. Move the mouse around for about half a minute once you reach the desktop/start screen.

You should hear a "device disconnected" sound play followed by a "device connected" sound a few seconds later.

Try uninstalling Asus Charger plus reboot may solve the problem. It seems that at times the ASUS charger plus effects the power to the usb ports causing connect and disconnect. I haven't heard of this with a mouse before usually its with external hard drives worth a try anyway. Not sure in window 8 but win 7 uninstalls from Program/Features. Usually uninstalling Charger plus rebooting . See if you still have the issue. If not and you want to use the charger plus feature you can reinstall it. reboot twice if you do.
