[G750JX] Laptop Screen Turns On Only After Booting Into Windows

Hello,

My laptop's ( G750JX ) screen doesn't turn on during boot, can't enter bios at all or see the boot logo, but once I get into windows it turns on sometimes. I managed to get into bios on a secondary display to restore defaults, and also tried re-flashing the latest bios using a usb stick but no result.

Sometimes the screen doesn't even turn on even after booting into windows unless I reinstall the nVidia drivers.

Does anyone have any ideea about what is going on or how I could fix this ?

This model has two graphics cards (Intel and Nvidia), doesn't it? If so, you could try to reinstall the drivers of the Intel graphics card too.

Anyway, even if you had no graphics card driver at all, you should be able to boot in the basic 800x600 resolution or so. Have you tried to boot in safe mode?
