I've not had any luck on the nVidia forums, so I'm going to try again here.
Recently I've been experiencing brief 2-4 second lockups in my graphics while I'm playing all of my games. It behaves normally, then freezes for a few seconds while the sound stutters, then returns to normal. When I check it on MSI Afterburner, I see my GPU usage drop to zero, and then immediately climb back to its previous level. Sometimes it happens when I trigger an in-game event, and sometimes it happens for no apparent reason at all.
I've tried a clean re-install of nVidia drivers, no dice. The people at nVidia recommended updating my BIOS, but I've been unable to do that...for some reason, I don't have permission to install the WinFlash utility the ASUS website recommends. I'm also not convinced that's the problem, since nVidia's customer service has been pretty suspect with me in the past.
I have a G750JX laptop with an nVidia GeForce 770m graphics card, 16GB of RAM, on Windows 8.1. I'm tired of this problem, does anyone have any ideas?
