G750JX Battery compartment querry

Hello,

I purchased a G750JX earlier this year, and have decided to remove the battery to preserve it, as I am only every using it plugged in.

My question is in regards to the compartment where the battery was living. Will it be safe to leave completely open like that of should it be covered to prevent dust and such? I am using a Zalman ZM-NC2000 cooling pad, which most of the gap is over, but there is still a visible opening at the back.

Hello SonsOf.. Welcome to the forum. I would say that preventing dust and dirt from entering your computer is a worthwhile endeavor anytime. The only possible advantage to leaving the space open is maybe a slight increase in cooling however, not really worth all the dust ingested. I own a JX myself and I leave the battery in all the time. I'm really not all that certain life is being drained from your battery by leaving it installed but it sure makes for a great backup if you experience a power outage. 🙂
