G750JW Keyboard not working [solved w/W8 restart]

My keyboard stopped working after taking it off of sleep mode. No updates were installed and no drops or damage to the computer. Anyone have suggestions? I have to use a USB keyboard.

Details: working keys: fn + 1-9, fn + enter, fn + arrows,
Backlight still works, caps lock still lights up upon caps lock (via usb wired keyboard)

I really hope this is a software issue and not a hardware one.

what is your OS? Win 8 or 8.1? when you into sleep, can you use on-board KB to wake up latop or via usb kb? is your function key can not wrok, it mean when you wake up from sleep mode and wait while still can not wrok by on-board kb or USB kb? if use kb, i think asus ATK driver only support on-board kb.

I had this exact same issue this morning. I just clicked on restart. Shut down is similar to sleep in terms of how the system stores the active memory. "restart" is what fixes most random issues.

Well that saves me a lot of time and money. My keyboard is in excellent working condition now. Thank you very much.

Filter Keys being off had my computer constantly restarting when i pressed r t y h or u so when i turned it off and back on all of my worries were gone (Rog Strix GL703gm)
