G750JS performing poorly.

Vanility
Level 7
Heya
I recently bought the ASUS ROG G750JS T4093H with the 870m GPU. While some games run fine (like Dota2), others have low fps, stutters and lags. (Which my old computer had no problem running, which is 5+ years old with nothing special in it).

So I tested 3dmark 11 and scored 1200 points.. which is way too low. I looked at a review of the G750JS-T4064H and they got 7200points in 3dmark11.

I use windows 8.1 (as it came), I have updated the nvidia drivers to 340.52 and haven't touched anything else, no overclocking no nothing. Edit: I bought a samsung 840 EVO too, and moved windows to it, (by using an usb of the factory rrecovery I got by using backtracker and installing it to the ssd.)

So what could be the problem? Windows 8? Or is there a way to optimize my g750js to "best performance" or such?

I will run 3Dmark11 soon as I get on break and post results. My clocks are 1076/1102 core and 1500 MHz memory in afterburner.

I essentially have a 660 Ti in my laptop, I also have one in my desktop. This is a huge improvement over the 765m I had in my other G750.

Probably, the conference speaker came to the back of the room where I was and asked me and my colleague if we were playing games. haha

juggar, heck if they are thinking you are playing games anyway, you might as well enjoy playing games 😉
