I have been overall impressed coming from a SONY 17.3 laptop with ASUS G750JS. I have had my own chance to judge the build quality and performance of this laptop and it's so far been the best overall computer I've ever owned. Many of the complaints I've read about i.e the screen, battery life, portability, only matter to me if your comparing the ASUS G750 to another comparable laptop which in my observation no other high end gaming equips their machines with what you get in the G750JS for the price.

... I was just wondering if this model has a turn on fan option?...

neokill175, there isn't a fan control for the CPU, but the GPU lets you manually enable "Run GPU Fan on Full Speed" in the Asus GPU Tweak Tool for Laptops.

ROFL! It is ON, don't worry. Get used to G series cooling mate))))

I phrases it weird. I know it's on. But on the sager np8278s, there is an option to manually switch the fans to max at will whenever.

Oh wow... You went all out. I have a few questions regarding installion of the evo SSD drive and the ram; how was the process? Was it easy?
How was the cloning process to the SSD? And how did you do it, if you did it?
RAM wise, I'm planning on buying an 8gb stick instead of 4gb, where is the final empty slot located? The back or the front?
Why did you buy another copy of windows OS, when there's already one?
Why didn't you buy a higher end g750 model with all that cash? Haha
Let me know of any tweaks you did on the laptop to improve it. I'm overall happy with this laptop as well. 😃
Thanks for the deal!

What's up neokill175, I completed all the installs myself and yep I cloned my OEM HDD using SAMSUNGS Magician software and yes it was easy as pie (really). I went with my own assortment of upgrades because of few reasons. I wanted specifically a 1TB SSD and I wanted what most people have said is the best of the few brands that are made. ASUS does not config the G750 with a 1TB SSD. Places like XOTIC PC and others wanted $699 for a 1TB add on and flat out wanted more for the G750JS model in any OEM configuration. The remaining RAM slot is on the bottom of the laptop just above the the two HDD bays. RAM is easy to install. I was just a bit surprised ASUS had gone to a like SAMSUNG version of OEM low voltage RAM. Again SAMSUNG makes a great product and their install software is a real plus that makes the SSD install process painless.

I had WINDOWS 8.1 PRO on my previous laptop and this laptop came with WINDOWS 8.1. I just prefer PRO over the standard and a FULL RETAIL version for my own personal keeping since most PC companies are no longer providing OS and driver disc anymore. When I added the cost for the 1TB SSD/BD drive and RAM that put me right around $2050.00 The G750JS I could have had stock for less but without a 1TB SSD. The G750JZ would have still cost more money with more ram and a BLU-RAY drive, but no 1TB SSD. I removed the the stock 750GB/7200 HDD as I wanted to have just the 1 SSD for now and minimize the heat and noise generate from the spinning HDD. Another reason I went with my purchase in this way I was able to get the G750JS from COSTCO which in itself is a added layer of purchase protection. They have a 90day return policy and a 2yr manufactures warranty. My computer went down to $1299.99 last week. COSTO refunded me the price adjustment of $107.00 I then purchased the additional Square Trade warranty that covers everything for 3yrs $99.99. I'm glad you were able to catch the deal....:) I also want to add that if you don't like the OEM audio software get DFX PLUS $29.99 This software will enhance the already installed audio software with 29 music presets highly recommended

WOw, I see now! thanks for explaining it to me, im a noob at this stuff. I thought the audio was pretty dam good, haha. Better than the Sager np8278s. I'm planning on purchasing an evo 840 PRO, at least 256gb; im going to wait for it to go on sale though; im not in a rush. I will check the DEFX PLUS out to see how it is, but im already satisfied with the current audio. THe laptop look mad nice and man, it dispells all fingerprints. it is a pretty sexy looking piece of aluminum/plastic. I hope you enjoy your laptop!
