G750JS 870M Looking to replace my CPU Fan! PLEASE HELP!

Hello everyone! I am in desperate need of your help.

My laptop has a lot of mileage on it as my GF and myself take it with us quite often (school, traveling, etc.) so I know there's some normal travel wear with it, but it still works like a champ and I always treat it like my baby. So about 3 weeks ago I think I shut it slightly harder than normal. When I woke up the next morning and turned it on the fan was SUPER loud. I immediately knew something was wrong with the fan and tried many different things such as dissecting my laptop to take out the fan and clean it as well as the whole inside. Nothing seemed to help so I came to the conclusion that the bearing went out in the fan or something along those lines.

I ended up ordering what I thought was the right fan and it turned out to be the same but it was too tall! The actual fan inside the laptop is labeled DC12V 0.40A while the one I ordered is DC12V 0.60A. I didn't see this listed on the site I ordered it from and I'm fairly new to ordering/replacing any kind of computer parts so I didn't know that might be a problem. I've since scoured the internet trying to find this specific fan with zero luck so far. I don't want to take it in to a laptop repair shop and end up waiting a month and paying them like $150 to do what I can do myself if I had the replacement fan. I've already had it for over a year now so the warranty is out otherwise I wouldn't be here.

So my question at this point is, what can I do? Has anyone in a similar situation found the fan? Or do I need to send it back to Asus and just wait it out as well as pay the extra to ship it and all that BS if that's even an option?

Here is the link to the fan I ordered that was too tall. https://www.battery-adapter.com/product_info.php/cPath/681_707/products_id/2958#modelinfo0

Thank you all for any feedback/suggestions/advice you might have, I really appreciate it!

no idea if you are in europe or not, but perhaps with the part number you might be able to find it elsewhere as well

Thanks for the help! I'm not in Europe, but I did some more Googling around with that part number and was able to find the actual fan on Ebay! So you did end up helping me 😄 I appreciate it and the part should get here in about a week so I won't be without my laptop for much longer WOOT

Thanks!

thats great news! hope you have it up and running ASAP

Same PC, same problem, weird noise coming from the CPU fan. When you will receive your new fan can you give updates on this post, to know if the part you bought fits or if the replacement process is difficult.
Hope your problem will be resolved

Alright everyone, I got the fan yesterday and installed it successfully so there's no more noise! I'm very happy and I was able to install it pretty easily because I've been taking this thing apart and putting it back together a lot since I started having this problem. This is the video I used to help and follow along at first until I got it down myself:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0dkQ4rajyM

The video takes you all the way up to when you're about to take out the fan so it's not quite as far as you need but if you can make it that far it's just a matter of figuring out what else to take out or unscrew in order to get the fan out. Also there's a point where he's taking the keyboard off and you can't see what he's doing. During this all you need to do is flip the black brackets up from where the strips connect from the keyboard to the motherboard. I read a comment on the video where some dude broke his which will obviously ruin your laptop or at least your keyboard or something. All I can say is just be careful while you're taking it apart and definitely make a system to keep track of where each of the screws go and everything you take out. Unfortunately you have to take half the laptop apart just to get to the fan and it can take a little while.

Oh and the exact part I ordered from Ebay was Asus G750JS Cooling Heatsink and Fan 13N0-P3A0201 13NB00N1AM010-1. Just search that and find one that you like. I only have the heatsink part because for whatever reason it was cheaper than just the fan. Either take it out of your search or just order it like i did because it's only attached to the heatsink with black tape.

Hope this somehow helps anyone else in a similar situation, I'll be checking back once in a while to see if I can answer any questions or whatever. I started out not knowing a damn thing about taking this laptop apart or installing new pieces but after doing it a few times it became pretty easy and actually kind of fun. Just be gentle 😄

Glad to hear it worked ! I'll order one soon, thanks for your advices it'll be very useful. I'll give updates when I'll receive it.
