A new G750 model, the JM, has shown up in Asus Support, along with newer drivers than are in the JW Download area:

Find all the G750 models:

The G750JM Download area - on Windows 8.1 64bit drivers posted:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=3&m=G750JM&hashedid=hk9WNtlEOFPl0Q7s

And, Asus is now including Asus GPU Tweak as a download under Utilities 🙂

The only online mention that has the graphics chip mentioned, that I can find, is here:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/G750JM-T4049H-17-3-inch-Notebook-i7-4700HQ-Bluetooth/dp/product-description/...

A GTX860M.

New Nvidia video drivers from Asus are posted in the G750JM Download Area:

The Scary thing is.... Asus also posted an Intel Graphics Driver!!!!

Has Asus fixed switching between Intel / GTX graphics to the point that Asus is comfortable supporting NVIDIA® Optimus™ technology?

http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimus_technology.html?

This should be interesting...

Strangely, there is no mention of Graphics switching, or Optimus, in the G750JM manual...

Maybe the Intel Graphics download was added mistakenly to the G750JM Download Area?

Ok, so I guess it is "confirmed", the new Asus G750's will have Nvidia Optimus ...

I was installing the new drivers from the JM download area, and installed the Asus GPU Tweak tool 1.0.5, and it came up with a totally new graphic, but worse - it got mixed up waking up on my G750JH and said "Nvidia Optimus Enabled - currently running on Intel GPU"!!

I had to double check and look at the Device Manager, and sure enough there was still just the GTX780m listed.

It displays the status in the bottom left corner of the dialog, and it disappears as quickly as it displays the status, it took a couple of runs before I could catch the text status, but here it is:

Because it thinks I am running on the Intel GPU, there are no settings for OC'ing the GTX780, and I can't see an option to "force/enable the discrete GTX graphics" - toggling the ON button for the GPU clock does something, but not enough on my JH, so I am going to uninstall and roll back to the latest Asus GPU Tweak Tool that still supports the G750 without Optimus, 2.5.4.2

Update: After I uninstalled the 1.0.5 version, and installed the 2.5.4.2 version, the application kept crashing and refused to start up... I had to uninstall again, reboot, delete the installation folder, reinstall and reboot again, but now 2.5.4.2 is working ok - Phew!

Some good news, the new Bluetooth driver got rid of the hang at reboot/shutdown problem that forced me to turn off Bluetooth before reboot/shutdown. I can now reboot/shutdown with Bluetooth enabled.

I installed all the rest of the updated drivers except for the Intel RAID / Management updates.

The Realtek, Asus USB ChargePlus, and ATK installers worked best if you uninstall the old version of the software and reboot first.

The Thunderbolt software installed a System Tray tool for managing Thunderbolt devices. I don't have any handy right now so I couldn't put it to use.

Here are all the drivers I could update from the JM Download area:

Thanks for the list.

I finally upgraded to 8.1 and used your list for the latest drivers.

So, many thanks again for saving me from the hassle.

Glad it helped, good time to do the Windows 8.1 update, most of the problems have been fixed 🙂

More good news, the rest of the 8XXm laptops are arriving in support.asus.com, the JM, JS, and JZ:

The JS/JZ don't have anything in their Download areas yet...

When I installed the ASUS USB Charger Plus 3.1.7 it kept giving me an error upon every reboot.

I am tired of messing with drivers so I've reverted back to the ones newly released on the G750JX page although they're a bit older
