G750JM Original ASUS ROG Windows Image Download Available?

Hello all, I have a minor questions..

I had awhile back replaced my hard drive in my G750JM This was before I knew there was a recovery partition lol... I had threw in a SSD With win 7 on it...

It is time to reformat, I lost the recovery partition on the origional Drive that came with the unit, I had also learned that the CD Key for Win 8 is embedded in the system-board of the laptop (Nice btw!!! 😄 😄 😄 ) So, I was wondering, is there a way I can download an origional ROG Win 8 copy to re install on my system ? So far my searches have returned nothing 😞

u may also be able to get your windows key just follow the instructions in the link. After u reinstall W8 and all updates use the G750 software page to update your laptop

Alright, question with this build, would It be able to have the ROG Logo at startup versus the windows, or dell one ?

, when I reinstalled W8 from the link above my logo at startup was an Asus logo so I reflashed the bios , now its Rog logo

U could ask someone nicely to send u the C drive image of a G750 JM also, others have done it

You don't need to purchase or search for key! From my experience with my rog's since g55 g75 and now g750jx all you need is to download an iso of windows 8 or 8.1 (it depends what was installed from the box) but it should be SINGLE LANGUAGE (SL) and should be X64 version. Then without any complications burn a dvd or pen drive and boot from it. After installation connect to internet and go to your system properties and run activation then youll see that your win is activated just reboot and your build version on desktop will gone. Your windows key is in BIOS so win will automaticly read it from there and activate your os.

If it's the ROG logo you're after, don't worry about that - that's in the BIOS/UEFI. I completely wiped my drive, blank-slate, and still have the ROG logo. If you don't, make sure the Boot CSM option is off in the bios/uefi settings; if it's off you'll have a plain windows 8-style boot logo. Also, the embedded key will work with any Windows 8.1 install media, it doesn't have to be the original Asus setup. All you're missing if you don't use the Asus-customized setup is the pre-installed drivers and bloat, which can all be found in the eSupport folder or downloaded from their site.
