My G750JH-DB71 is 2-1/2 years old and has performed like a champ! But over the last week or so, I've been finding when I close and then reopen the lid (while machine is running), the screen is sometimes whacked. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, Sometimes it's all white but more often it looks like a single row of pixels is duplicated all the way down the screen.
Sometimes I can clear it by closing and reopening the lid ... other times I simply have to power it down for a hard reboot (yikes!).
It has a GEFORCE GTX-780M video card, 24GB RAM, a 250 GB SSD boot drive (2x128 GB M.2) and 1 TB 7200 rpm hard drive. It's running Windows 8.1-64. OS is configured to "do nothing" when lid is closed.
The intermittent nature of this leads me to think that it might be a faulty wire leading to the video display, but I guess it could be a lot of things.
Anyone see or know anything about this kind of behavior?
