I need to increase & upgrade my G750 memory, either adding more of the same brand/spec. or replacing the lot with upgraded memory 1.35v.
Having reading through this very interesting thread it seems one or two people have fitted and are running DDR3 2133MHz or DDR3 1866MHz memory.
Has anyone here fitted G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 2133MHz SO-DIMM or G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1866MHz SO-DIMM and found any stability issues on their G750 at either of these upgraded memory speeds ?
(note - both of the above use Samsung DDR3 SDRAM memory chips)
Is anyone running with any other brands of 2133MHz or 1866MHz they find work ok and are stable using 1.35v ?
Is it a case of fit and forget or is anything else required to ensure they function ok ?
Thanks.

Hi Hmscott
I went through the whole thread and downloaded both programms to check my ram model. I have a 8gb used in one slot, Samsung m471b1g73qh0-yk0 1.35V. Could you please do me a favour and suggest which model of ram should i go for? I am interested in upgrading my ram to 24gb.
Many thanks in advance.

Protervis, you answered your own question, you should get the same memory make/model you already have installed, get 2 or 3 more of the Samsung m471b1g73qh0-yk0 1.35V 🙂
You could also replace the Samsung m471b1g73qh0-yk0 1.35V and replace it will all new memory - all the same make and model 1.35v SPD memory.
Googling Samsung m471b1g73qh0-yk0 1.35V there are lots of places to get new SODIMM's:

There are a bunch listed on ebay - always verify the part number on individual listings on ebay, sometimes there are keyword hits but the actual item isn't that exact number - beware.

I bought my 8GB Hynix SODIMM from ebay, a Macbook Pro pull/used, matches the other 3 8GB Hynix SODIMM's perfectly 🙂

Protervis, glad to hear it worked out 🙂
Now you can disable Windows pagefile and hibernate, and save a bunch of space on your C drive.
Set pagefile to 0 size, and start a cmd windows As Administrator and run
powercfg /hibernate off
Then reboot and you should get back about 30GB on your C drive.
Just make sure you watch memory usage so you don't go past 24GB 🙂
