G750 JZ, upgraded/added ram wont boot

Hey guys, proud owner of a new g750 with 860m Maxwell. I love it, picked it up lastnight, added a Samsung 840 pro 512gb for boot, and a 1tb Samsung 840 evo for data storage. Worked great.

Problem is, although I made sure to get 1.35v ddr3l memory and got good 'Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model BLS8G3N169ES4' memory. I put in one stick and the computer doesn't boot nor does screen illuminate. I've tried both slots, and have 2x these 8gb and tried both sticks in each slot, as well as both in both slots. Computer wont start.

Anyone know if theres something I have to do in bios or something to get these to go? I thought it was plug n go? Or for some reason do these not work in this laptop?

I took them out of my Samsung ativ book 8 I had for a month and the sticks worked great in there, so I don't think its faulty sticks.

Any help would be great.

No error sounds? No notification on a screen? Has it moved above POST? Check with stock RAM is it still working

Yea, if I take it out, everything works fine and that's what im doing now. But when I put it in, then connect battery and push power button. The power button lights up, and the white light on the front of the keyboard goes on, but screen doesn't illuminate, and never does even if I wait for minuets. So, it gets power, it just doesn't boot.

But I just put it into a Toshiba laptop I have, and it booted fine, but the Toshiba didn't recognize the ram as in I went to task manager and it only saw the 4gb ram stick in there originally, didn't see the new 8gb one, but it booted?

Sounds like a bad stick. The Toshiba if its an older laptop it may just bypass the stick and not recognize anything is in the slot at all. Just depends on his the boards initialize the ram. In another machine though and not working, kinda proves where the problem is coming from. I would get an RMA going for that new stick.
(ROG has simply become too expensive compared to the competition with same specs... 😞 )
