I am an owner of a G75. I buyed this pc in June, after two months this is full of problems.

The framerate is low, the screen sometimes becomes 8-bit color, sometime it remains black, the sound is terrible but worse my computer turns off all the time.
It turn off if I press cursor button, whenever I touch it !!!!

I called ASUS, and start procedure for ripair a week ago..... but the ASUS seems to have forgotten me

Is there a way to get my money back?
1400 euro seem excessive for a computer that is worth nothing.

I will turn to a lawyer to get my money back!

I suggest you RMA this does not sound good, I bought mine and had only a few problems with the preinstalled os which I deftly removed...
You should call them up hey should give you a "tracking" number for your rma...

There is a change for a faulty MB. Well, my Asus has some sort of premium warranty, they will come to my house and take it, repair it and bring it back for free. If needed. I hope not. Why isn't this service everywhere?

Hi, that is for USA , i n Europe the woes short on ASUS G75 and the receive a lot of Bad machine, manufactured to fast with no good piece inside.

For the door to door service here in Indonesia were a live and work is impossible to buy a computer by post because the corruption is so big you will never receive your machine. If you go to Apple or ASUS internet site Indonesian you don t have Shop page.

Guys, this is the bitter truth we have to face. For me, In Sri Lanka,, there's no any ASUS agents, but ASUS resellers! So going for a RMA is not quiet feasible under many circumstances. Even logiktoy pay 1400 euro for his G75, I already paid exact same amount for G55 last month. So this's it. Not every one shared equal opportunities when it comes to buying and selling over these kinda products/services. Therefore the value for money is more than important. No one can blame buyers because there're the once who had faith/trust on them, their products!! So we hope to have some better QC for these notebooks at least in near future. This is a real money guys, it doesn't matter which country your in!
Sorry for any inconvenient.

I understand. Get your money back then. But I have to warn you, most brand these days have very poor QC. It's not just Asus.

Very true, the only good quality brand is Lenovo, the product works, but the drivers are crap as well from Lenovo so you end up with a notebook that stutters here and there in games

Toshiba, including Qosmios are crap, crappy driver support and over heating issues

LG, you buy a notebook and if you ever needed a driver for it you are out of luck as they have no online driver downloads

the list goes on....

the point is, coming here on a forum and saying I want my money back won't get you your money back. Go back to the store you bought it from and buy yourself a Mac

hahaha .. and good luck 'gaming' on 'that' .. or 'them'.

Is the store exchange/return time up ? (you said June) what was the policy 30 or 60 days?)
Be patient and let the process work then.
If the laptop is defective, it will be repaired ..

Yesterday I send a mail to Asus with request to have my money back, or change my notebook ! they say NO.

Ok.... now the question become a war between me and asus.

maybe they prefer spend their money with a lawyer in court!

Yes, this is normal and unless the European warranty is substantially different than the US warranty it says so in the warranty terms.
"Asus will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any defective component." Note that they don't say refund if the customer doesn't feel like waiting for repair. If you couldn't accept these terms why didn't you return it immediately?
Refunds are provided by the shop that sold it to you based on whatever terms they provide to their customers.

I can relate. I buy a lot of computer products and I've had my fair share of RMA. With another company I had an RMA that went on for months. It sucks waiting but I remind myself that it's just a computer/part and I can live without it for a while.
