G75 graphics problems

I just bought this beast. I pretty much play 2 games. EVEonline and Neverwinter Online.
I booted it up, did all the updates etc etc. Everything seems like it's working fine and then I try to play either of the previously mentioned games. Neverwinter graphics keep flashing/blinking and eventually freezes and even crashed the computer once. Eve will blink once and twice and crash the game. I can usually get to task manager and end the games through there.

I've tried the newest nvidia drivers and then rolled them back and I can't seem to play the games without issues.
Surfing the net/watching videos and everything seems to work fine.

Asus G75
Windows 8 64-bit
Nvidia geforce GTX 670M running driver 9.18.13.1422 <--driver has worked best so far as long as it's on low settings.

If anything is there a way to set it back to factory drivers? I didn't try the games with those since I updated everything straight away.

Thanks

Where have you been getting the updates? From NVidia or Asus?

I got all the window updates from windows update and got the Nvidia updates from Nvidia.

I tried installing the driver off the asus website and it still happens. I can't seem to find any definitive answers online.

Ye i am having similar problems, I have had the g75vx (670mx) laptop for about just a little over a month, but now for the past 2 weeks, My framerates and overall graphics preformance has massively dropped. I went from getting on average 45 fps with bf3 maxed out, to getting 15 fps, and now i get 30 fps when battlfield 3 is on the lowests settings, I cant even max out call of duty, So if anyone has any suggestions please do tell. I have even tried to overclock the gpu, using ms1 afteburner, and no difference. I have a 680 on my desktop and I can max out bf3 on 3d no problem, so there is definitely something wrong.

Hmmm...

Sounds like something is eating your resources. Have you by chance downloaded any games? Also check and see if any anti-virus/malware scanner is running. Although, it may be a faulty thermal paste job and your gpu/cpu is overheating. Give me the idle temps and load temps of both and we can go from there. Thanks -Caleb

Check the Advanced options of Power4Gear

Make Sure your GPU/CPU is set on working 100%

P4G Options are set to 100%. Nothing I had to change.
Temps Resting are
GPU: 36c
HD0: 36c
Temp1: 38c
Core0/1/2/3: 38c (all seem to average out to about the same)

Underload in Neverwinter full settings:
GPU: 60c
HD0:35c
Temp1:66c
Core0/1/2/3: 63c (average of all cores)

The display driver crashed and recovered (not crashing the game though) once, also during the 10 minutes it took me to get these numbers while playing. Weird thing is that the graphics were doing the typical flickering and going crazy but after it recovered, everything seemed fine. Played for a bit and the graphics slowly started flickering again and crashed game.
Temps all stayed where I stated above during game play.

Also, I installed Starcraft (the original) and played it for a bit. No problems whatsoever....

Actually I think i might have solved the issue, I have been putting me notebook on sleep mode for the past week, cuz i thought it wouldnt make a difference, cuz it doesnt on my desktop, but I shut it down and then restarted it, and then launched bf3 and im getting good preformance again. so idk what it could be, because from my understanding whether i shut it down or put it on sleep mode, i should still get the same preformance either way.

If you guys have the latest vesion of nvidia driver(the infamous 320.18) then that could be causing your problem.
I was facing the exact same problem with my G75vx (huge performance drop and lags in most of my games).
I removed the new drivers from safe mode and rolled back to the previous one(314.22) and everything has been running much smoother since.
