G75 - Can't Recover Win 8

I have the G75 with the 500 gb hd, which I'd re-partitioned into 3 partitions using EaseUS. I didn't touch the Recovery or Restore partitions, which EaseUS diagnoses as both fine. But when I try to do Windows 8 "Reset" it says to insert the installation disc and the ASUS Recovery utility says the Recovery partition cannot be found.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

is it original hdd? if yes, what is asus recover utility are you use, for win 8, please try use asus backtracker, you can download from asus support site. how can you get win 8 system, from shipping bundle? if yes, i think when you press F9, it is able to to recover back.

It is the original 500 gb hd. I have Win 8, recently upgraded to Win 8.1. I just tried the Asus Backtracker, it could not find the recovery or restore partitions either. There was no Win 8 disc bundled with my laptop.
