Hi All,

I use my G74sx for both gaming and my profession. As im a CGartist.. We uses a lot of middle click for moving our viewport (3dsmax, Maya, Sketchup, etc)

The Problem is I often forgot to bring my mouse for client meeting. While I look stupid pretending to find my mouse in my backpack (knowing I have forgotten about it again)

Q : So I was wondering if there is a way to do middle clicking from G74SX touchpad???
ie. left+right = middle click (hold).... or double right click = middle click (hold)

Thx in advance

Do you have a Synaptics or Sentelic touchpad?

You can enable "Tap and Drag" and "Drag Locking" in the Sentelic 9.1.7.7 driver. I'm thinking this may give you the function you want, but I'm unsure from your description.

"Tapping twice on the object with one finger and keeping on the pad will enable dragging mode until the finger is removed from Finger Sensing Pad.

When drag locking is enabled and dragging mode is once entered, dragging mode will be kept until an on-pad click is performed. This feature helps user to drag objects farther on the screen easily by one or more finger movement."

These functions are enabled from the "On-pad Functions" section of the "Finger Sensing Pad" tab of Mouse Properties in Control Panel. They may also exist in earlier drivers, but I cannot be sure.

I think the gestures remain the same in the different driver versions, so this should be universal. Open the Sentelic Configuration dialogue, enable Gestures over all, and then specifically enable the 3-Finger Tap gesture. I believe that's supposed to be the middle mouse button. (I can't think of anything that uses a middle button, so I can't test it!)

U want to know something funny???? 3F click...... is right button...... same as 2F click.

previous driver 3F is middle button........ OMG>>> Y is something so simple as middle click be soo hard.... middle click in windows quite useful when u try to open a new prog or closing browser's tab

So in version 9.1.3.5 the 3F tap is the middle mouse button, and in 9.1.7.7 it's the right mouse button? That's a bizarre thing to change.

So are you now successfully getting a 3F tap=middle button function? (I use the 9.1.3.5 driver, because I like it better, but I don't know how to test a middle button....don't think I've ever used one!)

Yes.. in older version 3F is middle click.

the weird thing is.. I uninstall (microsoft mouse point software) and uninstall all my previous version sentelic.

I reinstall and 3F now is missing.. but also it provided new gestures that I never have before.......... 3F straight UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT -- Which I like but not sensitive as 2F gesture

So I kinda want to confirm.. and Re - uninstall and install .... still NO 3F GESTURE

Please HELP

Exactly which Sentelic version are you installing?

(Did you do all the uninstalling in Control Panel, or in Device Manager?)
