You can enable "Tap and Drag" and "Drag Locking" in the Sentelic 9.1.7.7 driver. I'm thinking this may give you the function you want, but I'm unsure from your description.
"Tapping twice on the object with one finger and keeping on the pad will enable dragging mode until the finger is removed from Finger Sensing Pad.
When drag locking is enabled and dragging mode is once entered, dragging mode will be kept until an on-pad click is performed. This feature helps user to drag objects farther on the screen easily by one or more finger movement."
These functions are enabled from the "On-pad Functions" section of the "Finger Sensing Pad" tab of Mouse Properties in Control Panel. They may also exist in earlier drivers, but I cannot be sure.

I think the gestures remain the same in the different driver versions, so this should be universal. Open the Sentelic Configuration dialogue, enable Gestures over all, and then specifically enable the 3-Finger Tap gesture. I believe that's supposed to be the middle mouse button. (I can't think of anything that uses a middle button, so I can't test it!)
