G74SX ownership and such

Good evening

For the past days my pc has been ownership issues (I need authorization to delete any file) even though I'm the administrator
Microphones and headphones are no longer recognized as being inserted into the slots (via that message on screen).
And since today I can't turn off the mouse touch pad.

What can I do?

Thanks

With multiple issues like this, I'd suggest you do a system restore back to a point in time before you started having these problems.

Hi

Did you do a clean install on your notebook when you got it?

How is it with the latest drivers for your notebook? (Chipset, WiFi, Graphics and so on)

You could try out CCleaner and run the register check to get rid off old register files that can mess with your notebook.

I did the system restore, just prior to posting...
Is my only solution a clean install?

No, but it's probably the best option, in terms of yielding the most stable and reliable configuration.

Your other option, aside from troubleshooting each issue individually, would be a factory restore. Be aware that this will overwrite everything on your OS partition, so make sure that you back up or move your data if you decide to do it.

PS: You did a restore back to a point BEFORE all the problems?
