g74sx model numbers

is there a page here at the rog fourms or for that matter any of the the asus sites that list the specs for all model numbers for
the g74sx or do we rely on point of purchase for the info

just retired my g72gx for modding so she will be solitare gaming only machine 😉 /cool bottom cover cutout mod from overclock.net and a really nice gpu cpu heat pipe mod i found googling (g72gx mod)

just bought a g74 ts-71 i googled it and only came up with point of purchase and it was only 18hrs old

I have never seen a summary of specs and differences between model numbers for the G74...and there are alot! Sorry, but my feeling is the specs depend on the seller's retail-specific model (e.g. there are ones made for BestBuy, Staples, TigerD, etc).

I think Asus intentionally makes this as confusing as possible. Their website is utterly useless unless you already know exactly what model you want to look at. For example, amongst the literally dozens of models they sell, there's no way to screen for, say, a 17" laptop with an i7. And within a model line, as you've discovered, they don't offer any information at all about configuration names or specs.

Pretty worthless, IMO.
