G74Sx Loud fan noise

Arshan

Hi guys,

So for the past few days I have this problem with my g74sx of loud fan noise. It sound like a low pitched rattling noise. I dont have any other problems like performance drop, crashes, graphical glitches, overheating etc. (maybe a little warmness when overclocking for a while, but that's no biggie)

Why do you guys think this noise is happening (my guess is dust). Also does it sound potentially damaging to my PC because I cant send my laptop to repair at the moment due to there being no Asus Service Centers in the country that I am in.

Any advice and help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

Give the fan intakes and exhausts some blasts from a can of compressed gas to see if it can remove dust from the fan and quiet it down.

rattling noise, sounds like Fan Bearing issues starting to develop..... also log you temperature...... what you get at idle 38C-39C would be normal.... light load around 42C-43C values based on stock TIM.... also if its a year old it will need a proper cleaning
