Take the back panel off using that giant flat screw and pulling the tab.
then;
take the screw (yellow) out.
using a small flat screw driver put it in the gap between the plastic frame and that little piece of metal (red), do not bottom the screwdriver out it should only be in the hole about 1/4", push the piece of metal twords the outside of the case. your dvd drive should be hanging out of your case about 1/2" now, pull it out.
Read the sticker on top of it and write it down some where.

before you put the drive back in, look to see if there is any damage on the ata connector at the back of the drive.
give the connector a little blow, compressed air is best, your breath works, just dont spit on it.
slide it back in, put the screw back, put the cover back.
find a driver using google for that dvd drive. Install the driver and see what happens.

I unscrewed it, cleaned everything out, put it back in, and same result. I have the same exact drive that is in the picture. Is there a good reputable site for drivers? Some of the ones I found are a little suspicious looking.

So I followed the instructions, it was pretty dusty but I cleaned it out, and it is still the same problem.
Can someone help me locate the drivers for this drive? I found some but these driver sites look really shady, not sure which one is reputable. I have the same exact one from the picture.
