I have 4 Questions
1. This came with a Mouse that i really like but i did not get the software with it were can i download the software its Model number is MOBKUL it goes simply by ASUS ROG Laser Gaming Mouse
2. Can anyone tell me if this mode had the 3gb graphics card everywhere except the place i ordered it says yes and the sticker in it say 3gb so i want to make sure.
3. Is it safe to use the asus live updater for Bios updates and things of that nature because i don't know how to do those things and was afraid to let my G72GX to do it. I know if you mess that up it can mess up your computer forever and after the money i dropped to get it last week it will be like my baby.
4 the temps are good but my question is it runs around 74C on the cpu is that safe for the Intel i7 2670qm 2.2GHz thats in it or should i move it so its not in the semi enclosed part of my of my desk. I imagine it should be ok since my old cpu was almost as hot and technology got better, very impressed with the gpu running at 64C on full load with dual monitors.

Otherwise i love this thing.
Thanks SIlecedelta

Hi, Silencedelta.

1. No answer for that. I gave away my ASUS ROG Laser Gaming Mouse.
2. You can find "Dedicated video memory" in the nVidia Control Panel > System Information > Display
3. ASUS Live Updater is useless. Uninstall or disable it. Get the newer BIOS or Drivers in the Forum.
4. I'm just lazy to do temperature checking on my G74. I just put my hand at the exhaust vents to check.
(Until now, temps are still normal, at least for me.:p) Perhaps one will help you on this.

1) Mine did not come with a mouse, thank goodness, so I could go out and choose my own (a small cordless for ease of travel).
2) Download GPU-Z, a very small clean program (with a ROG skin, if you care about such things) that tells you everything about your video card, including the memory amount and bandwidth: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2100/TechPowerUp_GPU-Z_v0.5.9_w_ASUS_ROG_Skin.html
3) ASUS live updater is pretty bad I hear. Do not use it. Also get rid of winflash, and flash your BIOS updates straight from the BIOS Easyflash util: never ever flash from a running OS!
4) At idle my CPU (2630QM) is round 35-38C in a 21C room. GPU is 1-2 degrees lower at idle. With one core going full bore the coretemp is ~51C and with four cores it is~71C.

G74SX-CST1-CBIL, i7 2630QM 2GHz
32GB DDR3 RAM @1333MHz
GTX560M 3GB DDR5 (192 bit)
17.3" LED 1920x1080
Sentelic TP, BIOS 203
Debian Linux Wheezy (Testing) Kernel 3.2, NVIDIA 295.40

4: Here are my temps with SWTOR running:

GPU temp is usually around 60-65* with game running full bore
ASUS G74SX-DH73-3D 17.3-Inch 3D Gaming Laptop

Intel Core i7-2670QM Processor
16 GB DDR3 RAM
1.5 TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
17.3-Inch Screen, Nvidia GTX 560M 3GB GDDR5 Graphics
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Thanks for the reply's Got the video card its a 3 gb and the the temps posted with my CPU are good the other temps are for a different CPU this runs the i7 2670qm not the 2720qm so it might be different but they run at 70-75 on max load witch someone else said they get similar temps witch calms my nerves a bit
