G74SX A1 Production stopped?

Hello guys,
I was about to purchase a G74SX A1 from B&H Online store as it is a reliable store & had a very good price compared to others.But today when I checked the site it said that this product has been discontinued by the manuf.Not only the A1 but several other models.
When I contacted their reps. they too said that the production is stopped.
Is this true guys?

Could be that Skype changed something too. I find it hard to believe that all of the series 285 drivers suddenly changed . . . lol

Cool thanks for the link to that thread, i'll check it out.

I do not plan on doing any mods on this, I am going to keep her stock set up as it seems like many people start running into problems when they start to mod. I think the most I will do is put in another 4 RAM to get her up to 16 and that will be it.

I am even keeping the bloatware on there (lol) I just put it all in one folder on the desktop and it stays out of my way...

If MW3 plays well with the current GPU driver I'll just leave that in there as well until I run into issues with other games. I have also been looking at other aftermarket Blue Ray Software to install in case this ROXIO does not play well with newer drivers.

You could get disk imaging software and make an image of the stock OS partition, then do a clean Windows installation to test out current drivers. If you run into problems, you could then simply swap images back to the stock OS configuration. Alternatively, If you want to devote 40-80 GB of your disk space, you could run a dual boot with 2 Windows 7 instances and be able to boot into whichever OS configuration you want.

I make a new image before I install most things, then instead of uninstalling it if I don't like it, I go restore that image. That also has the effect of consolidating the space on my SSD. 😄
