G74SX-1ATY screen broken

Hello Asus community,

This is my first post here. I have a G74SX-1ATY laptop and the screen cracked. I don't know what happened, I just want a new screen. Is there anyone here who had this problem or does anyone know the best way to do this? Should I just bring this to a computer shop since I am not a skilled computer builder?

If you are in the US or Canada, and you're still within the first year of your ASUS Warranty and have registered your laptop on the ASUS web site or filled out the Warranty Registration card included with the laptop and mailed it to ASUS, within 60 days of purchase, you may have received email confirmation of the one year ASUS Accidental Damage Program (see http://completewarranty.asus.com/Content/US/ADP/adp.aspx). If the ADP is applicablet o your laptop, ASUS will replace your screen free of charge.
