Hi fellow asus G lovers!
This is my first post on here so please be kind.
I have a G74S not a G74SX.
I don't know the difference anyways, i guess the SX is the newer model.
but anyways i have a problem, not really much a problem but more of a nauissance
I have a solid state harddrive 100gb as my primary hhd and a 500gb 7200rpm hhd as my secondary hhd.
When i have my laptop on power saving mode. I always seem to hear something power up.
and it just keeps doing that? does anyone know what that noise is?
I think it's the secondary hard drive thats making the noise but i could be wrong.
It just keeps doing it. it sounds like it powers up and dieds, and powers up again and dies again. and so on.
I really don't know what it is.
Does anybody know if this could cause wear and tear on the hard drive?
When im downloading something to that hard drive, it seems to go away. also when i put it on high performance settings.
it seems to go away also.
any ideas how to fix this?
