Hello!

That is my first post in the forum and I already started it with a problem.
I currently trying to run Diablo 3 in my g73sw, which has 8 gb ram and a geforce 460m 1.5gb, but the computer keep crashing after 5 to 10 minutes of game.
I already tried some solutions that I found in this forum ( atualize the atheros driver and the chipset driver)
I also have instaled the last version of the video driver (301.46, which I staled today) and the last realtek audio driver.
Nothing worked and my computer still crashing every time I try to play.
Somebody can help me fixing this problem?

Thank you!

Crashing? I know this is a cheap response but try re-installing the game client. When you get the game to stop crashing you have low frame rate to look forward to as the g73 seems incapable of running this game at anything above 12 fps. That is until bliz decides to fix it.

I tried to reinstall, the game. I even runned the factory recovery but it didnt helped either.
Can the problem presented on this topic be causing this?

I didnt fully undertand what this throttling problem is about. Can somebody explain me better?

I have a full optimised (ie: bios mod de-throttled, all drivers bang up to date, fresh install) G74SX and I also have problems running this optimally. So don't expect that to fix anything.

Throttling happens when your CPU gets too hot, it will scale back to 700/800mhz in order to cope. Even with throttling enabled I've never managed to get it hot enough to auto-throttle.

The problem with this game is certainly the strain on the GPU, as I never get more than 15% out of the CPU when playing. Occasionally it spikes to 20%. Lots of the games assets still need optimisation, so just hold tight on that.

We really need to look at why your game is crashing though... Are these blue screens of death? Or a game quit followed by Windows error?

This was included in my ticket for Low FPS. Didn't apply to me but it might help you:

Asus Laptop Crashes
If your Asus laptop is crashing while playing Diablo III, you may just need to update your Asus ATK drivers. Owners of the G73jh model should review this Asus web page for a different fix.

I have tried the ATK pack also, but doesn`t work either.

When the game crashes it just freezes the screen and the only thing I can do is hold the power button 5 seconds to make the computer shut down.
The sound freezes and the mouse also.

Not even Ctrl+alt+del works.

same problem here.. i´ve tried to fix this using everything but no sucess at all

Hate to hear you're having that problem. I have been running Diablo 3 since launch and with the exception of server side issues I have (luckily enough) not had that problem. One thing that I have noticed on the FPS is mine runs between 30-40 at all times no matter what settings I use in game. I run maxed out settings with no issues other then some server side lag every once in a while. I can lower the settings to low on everything and the FPS stays exactly the same. It's strange and I have no idea why it does this. FPS never drops below 30 even with a screen full of mobs and the action gets unbelievably hectic. Hopefully Blizzard can come out with a patch that might fix your problem as it seems as if your computer should be more than capable of playing the game.

Yo i think i solved my problem.. just try this to solve yours.

Download the latest video driver here http://support.asus.com.tw/download/download.aspx?

> (VGA_nVidia_Win7_64_Z817129616)

Then install Nvidia Inspector ( download here http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1.94-download-2612.html ).

Install driver first (clean install) then inspector. Run nvidia inspector and click on the tool icon located near driver version. When the window pop up click on profile then search for Diablo III, select it and apply changes. Keep the nVidia Inspector opened and test.

Also i turned on vsync ingame and everything seems okay here.. If this stuff doesnt solve your problem lemme know, cuz i have another tentative !

It didnt work either man.

The Nvidia monitor showed temperatures around 80 degrees celsius.
Can the problem be overheat?
I dont know what else could be.
