G73SW and 770M upgrade is possible

Hi. Hi. Just want to anounce to all that 770m upgrade on asus G73SW is possible
I am in process of instaling video driver now, will come back with benchmarks later.
Also I am pretty sure 780m upgrade is possible to. Not sure of heat problems though.
770m I installed is from Dell and vbios modding is necessary to get upgrade.

Nevermind it I've manage to do it. Anyway G73SW with Win 10 and GTX770m is working great 🙂

HDMI is still not working. In attachment is file you need to replace to get NVidia drivers working in WIN 10, remember to disable driver signature enforcement

in addition to all the hard work jmhdj does (modding inf files), i bumped in to this website:

they post recently altered inf files for most of the available chipsets/strings

So I have an Asus g75vw.

Will my Laptop support this upgrade?

Do I just need to search for a mxm type B card, no certain model required?

Would you do a 770 or 860 is one easier then other? Best bang for the buck ?

I've been trying to fit this but it aint working.

I got a board g53sx i had g53sw shouldnt matter or?...

Pluyging whit gtc 460 it starts , whit the gtx 780, it wont start and it short circuit so the charget shuts down instantly....


any help on this ?

Hei. You are most probably getting short somewhere. Tripple check gpu heatsink or mounting holes underneath 780m making shorting as they are placed in configuration to fit asus gpu board.
