There hasn't really been any major problems, worse we have now is a throttling issue when there is heavy load on the CPU +GPU at the same time, the CPU will drop to 798mhz, causing significant performance hit. However, with Throttlestop 3.00, it won't do that. Just has to be run once on boot. Hopefully we can get a official fix from Asus, but I wouldnt expect anything soon from them.

I think the 205 bios for the SW fully fixed any of the keyboard lag issues. As for speakers, other than a small pop/crackle I've run into, there isnt thing like the loud noise as some JH owners have gotten when the laptop gets to hot or from other random things.

I honestly just reformat to a fresh install of Windows 7, only install the drivers and ATK package, rest really isnt necessary. Just be forewarned, when you are uninstalling the junkware on the factory install it will mess up the ATK package causing you to lose your kb lights and FN functions. Just uninstall it, and re-install to get it back. I would remove Asus Update right away though, its better to just install any update manually and I've heard it has caused troubles for others in the past. Other than that, there isnt anything that you HAVE to get rid of. But it's prob best to just wipe it clean rather than wasting time getting rid of everything that comes stock on it.
