G73JW what mother board drivers will i need?

Hi everyone.

I'm going to attempt to format my laptop because during a lot of games it stutters, even if I lower setting, and its only games like Minecraft. But more importantly i'm hoping to be able to run Diablo 3 when it comes out.

I asked a guy at a store about it he said it might be hardware or software related, so he wouldn't be able to tell without reformatting it. I dunno, I play games, I don't necessarily know much about fixing computers =/

So I've started downloading drivers to make formatting as quick as possible. I'm just not sure what Motherboard driver I'll need.

I didn't even know what motherboard I had until a few moments ago, a program called Speccy gave me this info

additionally as its the first time I'll be attempting a reformat, any advice? I have my windows 7 CD and CD key prepared, sound drivers, Graphics card drivers. Things like direct x i can download and install after correct?

When you say "re-format," are you talking about doing a clean Windows installation? (as opposed to a factory restore?)

If so, the motherboard details aren't really important, as there's no such thing as a "motherboard driver." Windows and the Intel chipset driver will detect the basic hardware and install the appropriate drivers. Beyond that, you will need the usual allotment of device drivers needed after a clean install:

Video
LAN
WLAN
Audio
Touchpad
USB3.0 (if applicable on your model)
Bluetooth (if applicable and desired)
Card Reader
Asus ATK package

For many of these, you will need to look in Device Manager and determine your device manufacturer...then you'll know which drivers to look for. For example, your model may have an Atheros or Realtek ethernet card; once you know which, that's the driver to look for. Same with touchpad, WLAN, video card, and so on.
