G73JW loud fans

Hey all,

lately I've noticed that my fans get fairly loud whenever I play games. I downloaded HWiNFO64 to get a look at the temperatures on the inside. Here's what it showed me:

15497

The 'Current' column is during idle time. I took the screenshot just minutes before typing this up. The 'Max' column shows what's going on when I play games - in this case Planetside 2.

From what I've read, the temperatures aren't that bad, but could be improved. I wanted to open up the laptop to thoroughly clean the fans, but the complete disassembly intimidated me a bit too much to try on my own, so my next thought was to take it to a computer repair shop.. or Best Buy and have them clean it, and possibly re-apply new thermal paste while they're already looking at the insides.

However, I'm not sure if any of that is even necessary, hence why I'm coming to you. It could just be my imagination, but I could swear the computer used to be barely audible. I figure I would also note that I have never made changes to the BIOS, which is probably something I should consider.

In any case, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Oh, and Happy New Year!

The most cleaning I've done was to blow in some compressed air into vents, kind of as seen here:

The fans get loudest when playing games.

Hi RavenHawk

I have loud left fan issue and CPU digital thermal temperature is showing 80+ C most of the time when browsing Internet.

I tried blowing air approach but it didn't fix the loud fan and high CPU temperature issue.

Did you fix your G73JW loud fan issue ?
