In short, I did a clean Win7 install on a new SSD. As a result, I continue to get sound from speakers when headphones are plugged in. The Realtek control panel does not detect the headphone port as active when it is plugged in, however I still get sound in the headphones. The mic in port is detected, but I have not even been able to "repurpose" it; there is no such dialog on right-click in the Realtek utility, and there is no headphone key at all in the appropriate regedit screen (the mic is Pin18).
All drivers are current. I also get an "Unable to find a compatible SRS Audio Device" error on boot (after installing the drivers).

Coming here is a last resort; I did spend the past 2 hours trying to figure this out on my own. Right now, I could really use some help to get this problem resolved.
Also unrelated (possibly not?), I have not done anything with my BIOS. Do I need to flash it for any purpose?
Finally, in case anyone has read this far; I've played with both SetFSB (latest version, purchased) and the ATI GPU Clock Tool, and have noticed some odd results in Passmark (increasing GPU clocks DECREASES scores, downclocking the CPU to 1.6k actually INCREASES both CPU and GPU scores???). I did a comparison with other people's G73JH scores, and mine was actually slightly better without any OC so it's not like there is something significantly wrong. Any ideas?
