G73JH Audio problems + question about dead pixel policy

Hey,

So i have the same "crackling sound" problem that a lot of guys have if i instal creative software. With only realtek 2.45 drivers installed i dont get that crackling but i have other weird problem with hese, whenever i plug my headphones or external speakers i do get game/music7movie etc sounds at headphones/spakers but in some reason it wont mute laptops build in ones completely and still got windows sounds (msn message etc)from laptops own speakers. Does anyone have ideas? What realtek drivers i should use, and is there working creative software for this laptop that dont cause the crackling?

Also temps seems to be pretty high, getting over 100c for few sensors with hwinfo or gpu-z in bfbc2 😞

Then another question is about pixel policy. Tried to findsome info from asus site but didnt really find anything. I have had 4 pixel faults (1 bright + 3 black dead ones ) long time but those are on the edges so didint bother to rma, but yesterday i got 1 more black and that is in really bad spot almost in middle of the screen and is really disturbing. So my question really is that are those enough to get the panel replaced?

Well i will ask first if those bad pixels are enough to get new panel, if it does then i need to rma it. If it dont cover those then i need to buy new panel to this and could repaste it at same.

Btw is there non glossy panel that fits this laptop?

Ok. I'm waiting for the need to repaste before i do a few other things inside, too.

I had the same issue with the laptop speakers not turning off with just the windows default driver. I installed the driver version listed in Chastity's driver sticky(top of this sub-forum) and the problem went away for me.

Ok well i try that driver then thx.

Cleaned out dust today with compressed air and temps did come down abit but still far too high( around 95c in long gaming session ) so i guess only choice is RMA (which i will do anyway im it will cover my lcd) or repasting it myself.

Ok that sound driver solved the sound problem 🙂 Also noticed that the dots i thought first to be bright pixels was just some dirt in screen, so i guess im out of luck getting lcd replaced from warranty as it has "only" 3 dark dots. Temps are definately better now after i used bit of time and use can of compressed air to blow all of dust out, those few sensors are still giving like 90-95c but what i have seen those should be fine, i i havetn had any problems in games anyway even before getting rid of dust.
