G73 issues after "upgrading" to Windows 10

Hey, I am now running Windows 10 on my good ol' G73 machine, and have found (2) issues:

1. The cooling fan is always running, unless it is in sleep mode
2. The most vexing is not being able to activate the keyboard backlighting.

I have looked for the ATK package for Windows 10 for my machine, but cannot find on the Asus site. I have tried using other packages for other machines for this OS, but no success. I have also tried the latest ATK for my machine, which is for Windows 7, again without success. And yes, I know about the F3 and F4 keys, but they are not working. I really miss this keyboard backlighting feature. Has anybody any experience or suggestions for this, thanks.

Hello there.

My G73JH-A1 is using the default Windows 10 drivers that Windows 10 installed on it's own except for the ATK package for the Hot Keys. Here is the link that works as of today.

I can't control the screen brightness however everything else such as volume and keyboard lighting works perfectly so far.

I'm not having any problems with either the GPU or CPU cooling fans. They spin up when the machine is working hard, but quite down when it's done. As an FYI, Windows Update in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 is known to push machines rather hard and the fans will spin up when Windows Update is doing it's thing.

I am having an issue with my G73JH-A1 freezing when running Windows 10. No freezing in Windows 7 though. I think this is for another thread though...

Hey, thanks for your help, but I could not access that link: ""Oops! We couldn’t find that page." But I used some of the text in another search and was let to another post, and downloaded the ATK package, but again, no help with the keyboard backlighting issue. Interestingly enough, the other function keys appear to be working, just not the F3 and F4 and no keyboard backlight. Again, I appreciate any help you can provide.

It should bring you to an ASUS page for ATK_Package and it wants you to select your OS. Windows 10 64 bit should be the only option.
