Well, Windows 10 is not supported on your model for starters, your G73 must be what 7 or 8 years old or older?
Are you able to get into the BIOS
Zero power would mean your battery is dead and your power supply is not working
You would probably be better off saving your money and buying a modern notebook.
The power brick might get you up again for a while then again it might not since if the socket on the computer may not be connecting the battery charger circuit could have failed, you BIOS battery could have failed.
Trying to install windows 10 at worst you would have had major driver conflict but I don't see any of them totally causing you to lose all power. While they could have locked up your notebook so that it would appear to have lost all power.
If you can't get into your BIOS its definitely a hardware problem. Which one can be difficult to figure out. I would start with testing the power output of your AC Brick. If you can find an original it will cost you a $100 or an expensive way to find out if it's just the AC brick. If you purchasing some aftermarket brick you still won't know for sure either.

I understand what you've said and yes I do have another laptop but its not as powerful for gaming. Maybe it is time to consider a new gaming laptop instead of spending more on the G73. My thought however if its a hardware problem which has occurred within 2 weeks of being returned from Repair Centre, should they have not detected a possible issue? Its bad enough they returned it with the cd drive not reading or writing. I must say I am concerned now about the level of competency and the software provided to them by Asus to test .

Hi feeling really frustrated. Sent my dead laptop to Asus repair centre and was returned with a clean bill of health after the hard drive was replace:
1. CD/BlueRay drive doesnt work now - they claim they checked and there were no errors at Repair Centre!!
i decided to just connect an external cd drive to create new restore disks while waiting for 2nd line support to contact me (still waiting 2 weeks later).
Managed to purchase Windows 10 and yesterday started the upgrade process.....I had to go out so left the machine going through all its Upgrade checks etc when I returned the laptop is DEAD - no power at all. I have now ordered a new power supply which I'm hoping is the problem.
However if its not Power supply does anyone else know or had the same problems with their G73? I don't know what to do anymore, although I am familiar with the hardware side of things, I have never really messed with laptop hardware and am now disillusioned with Asus repair centre and their costs. Is it possible for Windows 10 to have caused my machine to die or is it something else. I have only used the machine a few times since it came back from repair as some of my games need Windows 10.
