To flash: Easiest method is to place ROM file on a formatted USB flashdrive (FAT/FAT32) and use EZ-Flash BIOS utility, accessed by hitting F2 during laptop POST / Startup

I'm not sure, but maybe Chastity took her uploads offline while she's off the Forum.

In any event, you would probably save time by just downloading the specific drivers you need. Those original driver discs are usually outdated before they even ship, so you'd do better to just figure out the drivers you need and get the latest version of each.

The Power DVD links point directly to ASUS servers, and the files are no longer there, nor are they on the asus public FTP server anymore. Something is up with that, but I don't know what. I was looking for the app as well, since I removed it and now want it back.

I found something called sonic dvd. I'm downloading that, to see if that's what I wanted. It's under /pub/asus/nb/apps/sonicdvd on the FTP serer, or here for http: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/Apps/SonicDVD/SonciDVD_Win7_64_Z58582321.zip

Good job to gary and chastity for modding this bios or thru flash programming.I personaly can't modify my bios without tools.I've uptated both motherboard and vbios.Only problem i have now is there are very few overclocking tools that will work with this bios.I personnaly had very few bsod screens of before this update.I modded the bios for 1.75V.Did u guys put a trigger in there for modded bios.I see chastity used same prog i did, at least the prog tell's me so.I like to overclock within reason and have never ruined aanything doing so.Just feel i should reach 14000 as ive seen many 460M do it.THX chester

Can I ask you another question? I just bought an ASUS G74 SX XN1, which has an empty hard drive bay that I want to put my SSD in. Can I just plop it in there, and run a disc with that ISO on it and use the windows product ID that came preinstalled on my new laptop? I have started it the lappy up already and updated Windows, will that matter?
